This weak low is just off the southeast coast of New Zealand. The rugged terrain of the island likely caused the odd triangle like geometry. |
Here, airflow over mountains has created a complex series of wave clouds. For reference, Tokyo is in the top right of the image, and Mt.Fuji is the bright white dot just left of center. |

This is a shot of Tropical Storm Emang in the South Indian Ocean. Heavy shear caused the low level circulation center to be entirely exposed. |
